Routable
Pay vendors and contractors in batches, collect invoices, and sync the trail to QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, or Sage Intacct.
Best for
Finance teams paying hundreds or thousands of vendors or contractors who want mass payouts and a two-way sync into QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, or Sage Intacct.
Not ideal if
A typical 1–50 person shop with a handful of vendor bills. Growth starts at $1,250/month, and Melio or BILL will do that job for less.
Standout
Unlimited seats plus CSV or API mass payouts that write back to QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, or Sage Intacct.
About Routable
Routable is the accounts payable, receivable, and mass-payout layer, not the ledger. Vendor invoices land by email, upload, or a CSV. You review the lines, collect bank and tax details through branded onboarding (the vendor does not need a Routable login), route approvals, and pay by ACH, mailed check, RTP, or an international transfer to 220+ countries. Customer invoices go the other way: you send, remind, and collect. Bills, vendors, and payments sync both ways with QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage Intacct, or NetSuite. You still close those books.
It does not replace QuickBooks Online or Xero. Melio is cheaper bill pay with a free ACH allowance and live QuickBooks or Xero sync from $25 a month. BILL is the per-seat AP and AR ladder with 1099 e-file in the product. Ramp is card-first spend, not a high-volume payout rail. Kick replaces the ledger instead of sitting next to it. Routable's job is hundreds or thousands of vendor and contractor payouts, then write the trail back to the file you already have.
People who stick are paying a lot of payees: marketplaces, contractor networks, or a finance team that outgrew per-seat bill pay. Unlimited seats on a published Growth plan, plus a CSV or API path for batch payouts, are why ops and engineering share the same tool as AP.
What people who used it say
What they tend to like
API and CSV for high-volume payouts
Marketplace and lean ops teams cite batch payouts they would otherwise build in-house.
Two-way sync that keeps custom fields
Official QBO, Xero, and NetSuite pages document real-time two-way sync, including custom fields and Xero tracking categories.
Vendors do not have to open an account
Branded onboarding collects bank and tax details without a vendor login.
What they hesitate about
You still talk to sales
Every public CTA is request-a-demo. HN asked for pricing in 2021 for the same reason; the page now prints Growth but checkout is still a demo.
The floor is mid-market, not a 5-bill shop
Growth is $1,250/month. A shop that Melio or BILL would cover should not start here.
Thin independent owner talk
r/Netsuite names Routable as a payment-automation alternative without a deep review. No useful first-person threads turned up on r/Bookkeeping or r/smallbusiness.

Review bills and payout batches in Routable, confirm the two-way sync landed in QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, or Sage Intacct, match the bank debit to the payment run, and lock the period in the ledger. PO matching and advanced coding are Scale+.
Invite the accountant to the ledger file. Routable can export payables and receivables and stores W-9 / W-8 PDFs on vendor records. 1099-MISC, 1099-NEC, and 1042-S filtering is documented; in-product IRS e-file versus an e-file-compatible export is not clear from public docs.

Features
Capture bills into one inbox
Email, upload, or drop a CSV. Routable fills vendor, amount, and line items. You review before you pay. Trainable OCR, PO matching, predictive coding, and advanced approvals start on Scale.
Pay hundreds of vendors in one run
Growth includes domestic and international payments, instant payments, mass payouts, CSV upload, API, and webhooks. Official NetSuite page: 4 ACH speeds, 8 check speeds, and RTP. International: 220+ countries, 140+ currencies, typically 1–3 business days. Per-payment fees are not on the public pricing page.
Two-way sync to the ledger you already have
QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage Intacct, and NetSuite are named on the official integrations index as real-time two-way sync. Custom fields are documented for QuickBooks Online, Xero, and NetSuite. You still close in those books.
Onboard vendors without a Routable login
Send a branded invite. The vendor adds bank details and tax forms. Official QBO and NetSuite pages: no vendor account required. Growth includes up to 1,000 vendors; Scale lists up to 3,000.
Collect W-9 and W-8 forms before year-end
Request missing domestic and international tax forms from the vendor list, store W-9 / W-8 PDFs on the vendor record, and filter 1099-MISC, 1099-NEC, and 1042-S populations. Pricing lists Form 1099 / 1042-S Filing; whether that is in-product IRS e-file or an export is not clear from public docs.
Approvals before money leaves
Growth includes standard approval workflows and role-based access. Scale adds advanced approval workflows. Dollar-amount and multi-level routes are documented on the QuickBooks Online and NetSuite product pages. Seats are unlimited, so extra approvers do not raise the platform fee.
Pricing
Growth is $1,250/month billed monthly, or 20% off if billed annually (about $1,000/month). A 5-person / ~500-txn shop pays that same floor whether it uses 5 seats or 50, because seats are unlimited. Scale and Enterprise are quote-only. Per-payment fees, FX, and faster-payment surcharges are not published. Typical implementation is about 4 weeks (official pricing page: payments in as little as a week). Compliance rows such as OFAC, TIN/ITIN validation, and bank-account ownership checks are marked add-on on the public grid.

Audience
Pick something else instead of Routable
Melio
Pick Melio instead if you pay a handful of US vendors and want cheaper bill pay next to QuickBooks Online or Xero. Melio's Go plan is free for a few ACH payments; Core is $25/month for unlimited live sync.
BILL
Pick BILL instead if you want per-seat AP and AR with 1099 e-file in the product and a firm console, and you do not need CSV/API mass payouts. Essentials starts at $49/user/month; live QuickBooks or Xero sync starts on Team.
Ramp
Pick Ramp instead if the real problem is employee cards, receipts, and spend controls. Routable is vendor and contractor payouts, not a card program.
Tipalti
Pick Tipalti instead if you want the other sales-led global AP and mass-payout stack and you are already comparing quote-only mid-market tools. Routable publishes a Growth floor; Tipalti is contact-only in this directory.
